Pet Vets and COVID-19

At Pet Vets of Folsom, the health and well-being of you, your pets, our staff, and our community is our utmost priority. We understand the concern and sense of uncertainty you may be experiencing regarding the coronavirus. We are committed to being responsive to your needs as well as the needs of your beloved pets and our staff as the situation unfolds.

We are closely following the news and in an effort to remain open we are working within the CDC’s guidelines to keep our clinic and staff free of the virus.

All surfaces that are frequently touched are now getting disinfected with strong disinfectants that kill all types of viruses multiple times a day (e.g. reception counters and doorknobs). All the exam room tables and chairs are disinfected after every visit of our clients and their pets, all the floor surfaces are mopped with disinfectant three times a day. All our doctors and staff wash our hands with soap between all animal handling, as we always have done.

For those of you who need to have your pets seen by the Doctor we will be trying our best to get you into the Exam room quickly. You are always welcome to wait outside or in the food area.

For those of you who are here for technician appointments, you are welcome to wait outside or in our food area after checking in if you wish, and we would be happy to come to get your pet to minimize your exposure to the common reception area.

If you are older or immunocompromised, and have a sick pet please call us so we can figure out the best plan of action to keep you safe.

We also will be encouraging drop off appointments to help those who need to get their pet seen. If you are interested in a Phone consultation please call and let us know.

We have always encouraged our staff to remain home if they are feeling unwell and will continue doing so now. We also encourage you to stay home if you’re not feeling well, or if someone in your household is not feeling well.

Since we are a small hospital this means we may be short staffed or need to reschedule appointments. We ask for you to be patient and understanding with us.

We Thank You all and greatly appreciate you for entrusting us with your Fur babies.
