Susanna Marshall

Dr. Susanna Marshall is a California native who grew up in sunny San Diego, California. She was always interested in becoming a veterinarian from an early age. She spent her younger years involved in many sports such as volleyball, dance, and track and field where she focused on the hurdles through college. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with honors at the University of California, Davis. While at UCD she worked at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine’s microbiology laboratory. She later went on to obtain her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Susanna is fear free certified and aims to decrease the stress associated with veterinary visits. She believes strongly in disease prevention and early detection to yield the best possible outcome for every patient. She also loves giving treats! She has a special interest in surgery and dermatology.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Susanna enjoys time with her boyfriend, Mark, friends and family, and her three cats, Robbins, Chopper, and Peter. She loves to explore new hiking trails, stay active, go wine tasting, and travel. When she has time, she loves to travel back to San Diego to soak up the sunshine at the beach.
